  • Install and configure Windows Server 2019, implement storage and Hyper-V solutions, and maintain server environments.

Requirements

  • Candidates should have experience with local and server storage solutions including the configuration of disks and volumes, Data Reduplication, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Storage Spaces Direct, and Fail-over Clustering solutions. The candidates should also be familiar with managing Hyper-V and Containers as well as maintaining and monitoring servers in physical and compute environments.
  • Desktop PC or laptop with a minimum of 8 GB of RAM (16 GB preferred)
  • System BIOS with virtualization capabilities.
  • Should have completed either my Server 2012 0r 2016 courses, parts I and II.

Description

This course shows new system and network administrators how to plan the big picture and use that plan to install and configure Windows Server 2019. Instructor Prof. K explains how to identify and acquire the hardware—virtual or dedicated—you will need for your new server to accomplish its purpose: file server, domain controller, DNS/DHCP server, or virtual machine host. He then explains how to select the appropriate edition of Windows Server and install the core operating system. Finally, learn how to use the legacy admin tools as well as Windows PowerShell to configure network addressing, storage, features, and roles, so your server meets your organization's needs.

Professor K's expertise in technology focuses on designing, building, supporting network infrastructures and network security.

Professor K has taught online since 2008 and teaches for a number of other online universities and colleges.
