What You'll Learn:
Description
In today's digital world, safeguarding data from unauthorized access is paramount, and encryption serves as a powerful tool in achieving this goal.
In this course, we'll explore digital signatures, addressing the critical question of how recipients can verify the authenticity of received emails and documents among the prevalence of email spoofing and phishing attacks. You'll discover how digital signatures work and their role in protecting data against manipulation and unauthorized alterations.
You'll learn practical techniques for calculating hash values over files, a crucial step in generating digital signatures. Furthermore, I'll guide you through the process of leveraging digital signatures with signed timestamps to enhance the security of PDF documents in Adobe Reader. By signing documents with timestamps, you'll be able to provide indisputable evidence of their existence at specific points in time, bolstering their authenticity and integrity.
Key Learning Areas:
Digital Signature - Introduction:
Digital Signature - Sign and Verify E-Mails:
By completing these lessons, you'll develop a comprehensive understanding of digital signatures and their practical applications, equipping you with the skills needed to sign and verify emails securely and protect the integrity of your digital communications.
