A file system is the way in which files are named, stored, retrieved as well as updated on a storage disk or partition; the way files are organized on the disk. Linux File System or any file system generally is a layer that is under the operating system that handles the positioning of your data on the storage; without it, the system cannot knows which file starts from where and ends where. In this course covers about different type of file system in Linux, how to access them, creating links, each file and directory attributes and much more.

Imran earned his bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College, City University of New York as an honor student. He earned his MBA from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in operation management and IT.
