29. Exploiting WPS - Introduction

All right, now we're going to start talking about cracking the EPA and the EPA, too, and as you know by now, the easiest and the most guaranteed method of gaining access to the EPA and two is to hike through it using Reaver, if that is enabled. Now, you also probably know that this will not work against all routers, especially new ones. So they're out there, has to be configured to use PVC or push-Button authentication. And even with that, it will still fail in a lot of cases.

So in this section, I'm going to show you how to, first of all, get river to show you more information about what's happening in the background so you can debug and see where it's going wrong, because a lot of people give up on routers too soon. So we're going to see how you can bypass some of the security features implemented by some routers. And I'm also going to show you how to unlock some routers if they look after a number of failed attempts. I'm spending more time on river and ups because it is the only guaranteed method right now to gain access to WPA and the EPA to networks, even the new crack attack will not allow you to get the key. So with this method, you want me to use a wordlist? It's a brute force method which is guaranteed to work. It's just that it doesn't really work against all routers. So with the knowledge that you're going to get from the section, you should be able to execute it on more routers.

But again, it's still not going to work against all the routers.
