Course Interface
[00:00:00] Okay, I'm going to show you how to get the best out of the interface once you're on a course. So I'm going to click on a course here and that's going to take me into the course, essentially, and this membership tool that you're taking now, this is a course, and you will have this same interface as you can see here.
So the way you are taking your membership Tour is the way you will watch courses as part of this membership. And this is the main way that we provide online streaming content. I'll give you a quick run through of the interface. It's pretty self-explanatory, but there's some things worth noting. So obviously to the top left here, we've got the thumbnail image that represents the course we've got the title here, the course, and we've also got the percentage of the course that's being completed.
If we look here, we can see information. If we click here, we can see information about the instructor or instructors of the course. And then here, if you have a hundred percent completed, the course, a certificate of completion will be auto-generated [00:01:00] for you and available. If you click here, if you have any problem with your certificates, drop a message to support here, and there'll be able to sort that out for you.
Let's pop up here. You can see the URL. And each course has a unique number and URL. This means you can bookmark any course as needed, and we've got here course curriculum. This is essentially what you're looking at here. This is the course curriculum and each one of these are the lectures or classes. For this particular course.
And if you clicked start next lecture, that's going to take us into the beginning of the course, or we can click start or the beginning of any of these lectures or classes to start those particular classes. Notice that courses are split into sections. So we can see here training overview, section, longer introduction.
These are sections that then have. Classes about that particular topic. So this is know [00:02:00] yourself and the threat landscape. So that's what these classes are about for this particular course. If I pop up here, you'll see at the beginning of classes, we've got this training overview. So let me click on. So this training overview, this will give you a breakdown of what the course covers, what you will learn, what the requirements are for the course.
So before you take the course, you can have a look to see whether it's a course that you actually want to take. And if it's meeting your objects, That you can find there. And also to help you see if the course is what you're looking for. We have a video overview within the training overview section, usually a couple of minutes, and it talks you through what the course is about to see what the.
It's something that might interest you. We can see here, we've got previous lecture and complete and continue. If I click previous, it's going to go back to the previous lecture. And if I click here, this is going to complete and continue on to the next one. Now I notice when I click complete you then have [00:03:00] a tick here.
So this tick means that that particular class has been completed. We can see this one has not been marked as completed as of yet. And to receive your certificate of completion, all of them will need a tick in to define that they have been marked as completed. Uh, there's the usual interface got the play pause.
You can move this along. We also have subtitles in multiple languages. You can change the speed, the quality, et cetera, all pretty standard stuff. And at the end of the lecture, it will auto go on to the next lecture and mark it as complete with a tick. And let's just have a look here so we can see below the lecture, there can be all the information related to the lecture.
So that's always worth checking out. There might be a PDF. The PDF can actually be within this, or like in this version you can click to download. There can be useful [00:04:00] links. We've also got this button here. This will enable you to download this video for offline viewing. There's a written transcript of the audio from the lecture.
And you can see here, this is at the point by which those things are being said. So that's the beginning. That's within one minute. That's within two minutes. And if you scroll to the end of the course, you will also find that many of them have audio only versions of the course. So you can download and listen to the audio without the video.
Maybe you're on the train or driving or something like that. And one final thing to notice is cost discussion. This will take you through to be able to ask questions as needed about the training and in future, you will find that there is something here for you to ask questions.
